Ecology and Conservation Program

Our Nature program takes full advantage of the natural world that surrounds us at Camp Hahobas. Staff members in this area are well-trained in the natural sciences and dedicated to teaching conservation. Summer camp is the best place to expose scouts to nature and the need to protect it.

Special Programs

Nature Trail: The Conservation & Ecology staff will guide Scouts on an educational tour of our Nature Trail, identifying native plants and animals.

Star Watches: An evening of stargazing, identifying constellations and discussing the mythology behind them (weather permitting) will be conducted (See program schedule).

Bear Trail Opportunity

Complete both of the following:

Go on one of the two star watches offered during the week.

Complete a pre-approved conservation project.
