Additional Program NotesCamp Hahobas offers what we call a flexible program (somewhere between a fully structured program and an open program). That way we can maintain the structure desired by many of our Scout Troops and offer Scouts with special needs or Scouts who need some additional merit badges for Eagle, the opportunity to take merit badges at different times. This program shift away from a purely open format, represents the most major change to our merit badge program in the last few years. If a Scout is seeking a CPR certification, he must sign up for it and attend all sessions to receive certification. Scouts are welcome to assist staff members in the Outdoor Skills area on pioneering projects. Outdoor skills staff will also be on hand to help scouts come up with ideas for the Pioneering Sculpture Competition. Scouts who are attempting to earn Citizenship in the Nation are expected to attend a Constitution reading. Constitution readings will be held on Tuesday and Thursday and Scouts must sign up with their counselor. All Scouts for Environmental Science should plan to report to come to the Ecology-Conservation area on the first day of camp. COPE Signups will take place upon arrival at camp. If you sign up for a COPE session, we respectively request that you show up promptly at the COPE area for your scheduled time. rev3 |
